MG is gearing up to announce the prices of its upcoming flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, on April 20, 2026. This new model will replace the Gloster in MG’s India portfolio and will be available in two trims – Sharp and Savvy. The expected price range is between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
Powering the Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, the same unit seen in the higher-spec versions of the Gloster. It produces 215hp and 478.5Nm of torque and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will be offered with a proper four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, including low-range capability. It also gets three locking differentials along with multiple terrain modes such as Snow, Sand, Mud, Rock and Normal, making it suitable for different driving conditions.
On the outside, the Majestor has a strong road presence with its boxy design. The front features a large grille with gloss-black elements, vertically stacked LED headlamps and slim LED daytime running lights. The lower section gets rugged cladding and a silver skid plate, adding to its SUV character. Along the sides, the cladding continues over the wheel arches and doors. It rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and also gets side steps for easier access.
At the rear, the SUV features connected LED tail-lamps with ‘Morris Garages’ lettering across the tailgate. The bumper gets black cladding and dual exhaust tips, which add a slightly sporty touch to the overall look.
Inside the cabin, the Majestor offers a premium feel with a black theme and silver accents. The dashboard is equipped with dual 12.4-inch displays – one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. It will be available in both 6- and 7-seat configurations, with leatherette upholstery offered as standard.
In terms of features, the SUV comes well-equipped with a panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, powered front seats with ventilation and massage functions, a powered tailgate and dual wireless phone chargers. Rear passengers also get a 220V power outlet.
On the safety front, the Majestor includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, hill hold and descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and an electronic parking brake.
