New Kia Seltos Unveiled Ahead of January 2, 2026 Launch

Kia has unveiled the second-generation Seltos ahead of its official launch on January 2, 2026. The Seltos has been one of Kia’s strongest products in India since it first arrived in 2019, and the company has once again chosen India for the global debut of the new model. The updated SUV is now based on the K3 platform, gets a fully redesigned exterior and interior, and continues with the same three engine options as before.

Bookings will open on December 11 for ₹25,000, with deliveries likely to begin by mid-January after the price announcement.

The new Seltos is bigger in most areas, and the longer wheelbase should help improve interior room. The front styling now draws inspiration from Kia’s larger SUVs, especially with its wider, jagged grille and new square-shaped LED headlamps. The rear looks cleaner too, with the number plate now placed on the bumper and new inverted L-shaped tail-lamps that add to its fresh look. Kia has also added flush-fitting door handles and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin has been completely reworked. The highlight is the panoramic display that combines a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a separate 5.0-inch climate control display. Soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads help give the cabin a more premium feel, while physical buttons have been retained for ease of use.

Feature-wise, the top trims offer ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat with memory, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose sound system, 360-degree camera, rear sunshades and 64-colour ambient lighting. The SUV also gets Level 2 ADAS and standard safety features such as six airbags, ESC and all-wheel disc brakes.
