Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV Spotted Testing in India Ahead of Launch

Honda Cars India has begun public road testing of its upcoming electric SUV, the Honda 0 Alpha, and the latest spy shots now give a clearer look at what’s inside. Expected to launch next year, this new EV will rival models like the Hyundai Creta Electric in the growing mid-size electric SUV space.

From the images, the interior of the Honda 0 Alpha appears modern yet functional. One of the standout elements is the unique hexagon-shaped steering wheel, which gives the cabin a slightly futuristic touch. The SUV is also expected to come with an auto-dimming IRVM, steering-mounted controls, and paddle shifters that will likely be used to adjust regenerative braking levels. Another practical addition is the presence of rear sunshades, which should make the second-row experience more comfortable, especially in Indian conditions.

On the outside, the design looks clean and in line with Honda’s latest styling direction. The SUV features flush-fitting door handles along with rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, giving it a sleek side profile. Other notable elements include vertically stacked tail lamps, a rear wiper, and an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp. The rear bumper gets reflectors and a neatly integrated number plate housing.

At the front, the Honda 0 Alpha sports projector headlamps, a blanked-off grille typical of EVs, and front parking sensors. It also rides on aero-style wheels finished in black, adding to its electric identity.

Honda plans to manufacture the 0 Alpha in India, not just for the domestic market but also for export. The model is expected to arrive sometime around FY26–27, marking Honda’s first major step into the mass-market EV segment in India.
