Tata Motors recorded a total of 46,437 units sold in February 2025, reflecting a 9.43% year-on-year (YoY) decline compared to the 51,270 units sold in February 2024. While some models, such as the Nexon and Curvv, posted solid sales figures, others like the Punch, Safari, and Harrier experienced a downturn in performance.
Tata Sales Breakdown – February 2025 (YoY Comparison)
The Nexon, including its EV variant, continued to be Tata’s top performer, with 15,349 units sold, marking a 6.63% increase from the 14,395 units sold in February 2024. The Curvv also showed impressive results, registering 3,483 units sold.
On the other hand, the Tata Punch, including its EV variant, saw a notable 21.04% YoY drop, with 14,559 units sold in February 2025 compared to 18,438 units last year. The Tiago EV remained consistent, with sales of 6,954 units, nearly identical to the 6,947 units sold in February 2024. However, the Tigor EV experienced a 9.46% decline, selling 1,550 units compared to 1,712 units last year.
The Altroz faced a significant drop, with sales falling by 64.89% YoY, from 4,568 units in February 2024 to just 1,604 units last month. Similarly, the Safari and Harrier SUVs also saw substantial declines, with a 41.01% drop for the Safari, which sold 1,562 units compared to 2,648 units, and a 46.29% fall for the Harrier, which sold 1,376 units, down from 2,562 units last year.

In addition to the 9.43% YoY drop, Tata Motors also faced a 3.41% month-on-month (MoM) decline in sales for February 2025, with 46,437 units sold, down from 48,075 units in January 2025. While some models like the Curvv EV, Tiago EV, and Safari recorded gains, others, including the Punch, Altroz, and Harrier, experienced sales declines.
The Nexon (including the EV variant) remained Tata’s top-selling model, though its sales remained virtually flat, with a slight dip of 0.31%, from 15,397 units in January to 15,349 units in February. The Curvv, however, saw a solid 12.83% MoM growth, reaching 3,483 units compared to 3,087 units in January.
The Punch, including its EV version, recorded the sharpest MoM decline of 10.30%, dropping from 16,231 units in January to 14,559 units in February. The Altroz hatchback also experienced a significant 21.10% drop, with 1,604 units sold in February, down from 2,033 units in January. The Harrier SUV saw a decrease of 7.53%, falling from 1,488 units in January to 1,376 units in February.
On a positive note, the Tiago EV saw a 2.16% increase in sales, reaching 6,954 units, up from 6,807 units in January. The Tigor EV also experienced a 4.45% rise, with 1,550 units sold, compared to 1,484 units the previous month. The Safari SUV showed a slight improvement, growing by 0.90% MoM, with 1,562 units sold, up from 1,548 units in January.
