Skoda Auto India’s latest performance sedan, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS, has created massive buzz among enthusiasts even before its official debut. Scheduled for launch on October 17, the new Octavia RS was available for bookings at a token amount of ₹2.5 lakh. However, in just a few days, all 100 units allotted for India have been completely sold out.
Expected Price and Availability
The new Octavia RS will arrive as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in India, with an expected price tag of around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries for the limited-run model are set to begin in November 2025.
Design and Features
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS embodies a sharp, athletic stance with several visual enhancements. It features:
- LED Matrix headlights with integrated DRLs
- Sporty 18-inch alloy wheels
- Aggressive bumpers and sculpted body lines that underline its RS DNA
Inside the cabin, the car gets RS-spec sport seats, premium materials, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with advanced connectivity features, creating a driver-focused yet luxurious atmosphere.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Octavia RS packs a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, delivering 216 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, sending power to the front wheels.
According to performance figures from the UK-spec model, the sedan sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed capped at 250 km/h. The RS variant also sits 15 mm lower than the standard Octavia, enhancing its handling and aerodynamics.
Unlike the international version, the Indian model is not expected to feature Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). However, it will include a sport-tuned exhaust system, further amplifying its dynamic sound and appeal.
