Bajaj Auto Introduces Budget-Friendly Chetak 3503 Electric Scooter

Bajaj Auto has unveiled a more affordable variant of its Chetak electric scooter lineup—the Chetak 3503. This launch comes a few months after the introduction of the Chetak 35 series, expanding the brand’s EV offerings for cost-conscious buyers.

Key Features of the Bajaj Chetak 3503

The Chetak 3503 is built on the same platform as other models in the 35 series and features a 3.5kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 155km on a single charge. Like its siblings, it includes a spacious 35-litre under-seat storage compartment.

However, this version differs slightly in performance, with a top speed limited to 63 km/h. It is priced approximately ₹20,000 lower than the Chetak 3501, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious commuters.

The scooter features an all-metal body and is equipped with a colour LCD display that supports basic Bluetooth functionality. Charging time is slightly longer compared to other variants, requiring 3 hours and 25 minutes to reach 80%, as opposed to 3 hours in other 35 series models.

To keep costs down, the Chetak 3503 forgoes some premium features such as sequential turn indicators, a front disc brake (replaced by a drum brake), and hill hold assist. It offers two riding modes—Eco and Sports—and comes in four stylish colours: Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, and Matt Grey.

Pricing and Availability

The Chetak 3503 is priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). While it shares the battery and newly designed chassis with higher-end versions, it offers a more streamlined feature set to maintain its accessible price point.

Customers can now book the Chetak 3503 through Bajaj’s official website or at authorised dealerships across India.
