Hero Xoom 125 First Ride Review – Sporty and Comfortable

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Xoom 125, aiming to capture a significant share of the 125cc scooter segment, which currently accounts for around half of total scooter sales. Positioned between the Xoom 110 and Xoom 160, the Xoom 125 offers a compelling blend of style, performance, and affordability.

Design and Appearance

Drawing inspiration from the flight of a falcon, the Xoom 125 boasts sharp and edgy aesthetics. At the front, it features a distinctive fascia with a Falcon LED DRL signature and is the first in its segment to come equipped with LED projector headlights. The handlebar cowl houses sequential LED turn indicators, adding a premium touch. The rear showcases split LED tail lights and robust split grab rails, complemented by a 120-section rear tire—the widest in its class—that enhances its muscular stance.

Features and Functionalities

The Xoom 125 is equipped with practical features such as a flat floorboard, external fuel filler cap with a buzzer, and a single-sided mono-shock suspension at the rear. The dual-tone machined alloy wheels and the positioning of the exhaust contribute to its sporty profile.

Dynamics and Performance

Powering the Xoom 125 is a 124.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 9.8 bhp of peak power and 10.4 Nm of peak torque. This engine features Hero MotoCorp’s proprietary i3S start/stop technology to enhance fuel efficiency.

Pricing and Variants

The Xoom 125 is competitively priced, starting at ₹86,900 for the VX trim and ₹92,900 for the ZX trim. Color options for the VX trim include Metallic Turbo Blue and Matte Storm Grey, while the ZX trim adds Inferno Red and Matte Neon Lime to the palette. The Matte Neon Lime variant, in particular, stands out for its sporty appeal.

In summary, the Hero Xoom 125 emerges as a well-rounded contender in the 125cc scooter segment, offering a harmonious blend of sporty design, practical features, and efficient performance.
