Hyundai Sales in January 2025: Creta Achieves Record Monthly Sales
In January 2025, Hyundai Motor India sold a total of 65,603 units, with 54,003 units sold in the domestic market and 11,600 units exported to global markets. This highlights India’s importance as a key export hub for Hyundai’s international operations.
Hyundai saw solid growth in both year-over-year (YoY) and month-over-month (MoM) sales. Compared to January 2024, when 57,115 units were sold, the company achieved a 14.86% YoY increase, with an additional 8,488 units sold. On a MoM basis, Hyundai recorded a 55.42% growth, up from 42,208 units in December 2024, gaining 23,395 units in volume.
The Hyundai Creta, as always, was a standout in the sales charts. It achieved an all-time high in domestic monthly sales, with 18,522 units sold in January 2025. The launch of the Creta Electric has further boosted the popularity of the Creta brand.

Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, commented, “We have solidified HMIL’s position as a world-class manufacturing hub, with a 10.5% YoY growth in exports in January, thanks to strong demand for our products overseas. Domestically, our first indigenous electric SUV, the Hyundai CRETA Electric, which was launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17th, has started off strong. This has helped drive Creta sales to their highest-ever monthly total of 18,522 units in January 2025.”
