Kia Sales in January 2025: 25,025 Units Dispatched, Syros Makes Strong Debut

In January 2025, Kia dispatched a total of 25,025 units, which includes the newly launched Syros SUV. The Syros made its debut with a starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh (Ex-showroom) and competes with other sub-4m SUVs like the Nexon, Brezza, Venue, XUV3OO, and Kia’s own Sonet.

Looking at the domestic market, Kia recorded a 5% year-over-year (YoY) growth with 25,025 units dispatched in January 2025, compared to 23,769 units in January 2024. This marks an increase of 1,256 units. When compared to December 2024, where 8,957 units were dispatched, January’s sales show a significant rise.

Breaking down the sales, the Kia Sonet led the charge with 7,194 units sold in January 2025, followed by the Seltos at 6,470 units. The newly launched Kia Syros secured the third spot with 5,546 units dispatched. The Carens came in fourth with 5,522 units sold, while the Carnival sold 293 units.

Without the 5,546 Syros units, Kia still managed to sell 19,479 units, a solid performance. With the Syros now in the market, its sales are expected to grow further in the coming months, especially with the competitive pricing.

In terms of exports, Kia shipped 1,454 units from India to 70 international markets, highlighting the importance of its Indian facilities as an export hub.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, shared, “The first month of the year is crucial for any OEM as it sets the momentum for the months ahead. We’ve had a strong start in 2025 with the launch of the Kia Syros, which has garnered a tremendous response from customers. Additionally, our premium offering, the Kia Carnival Limousine, continues to gain traction in its segment. These responses showcase Kia’s commitment to design and technological innovation, ensuring we meet customer preferences while delivering best-in-class mobility solutions across all segments.”
