TVS Sales in January 2025
In January 2025, TVS sold 1,74,388 motorcycles, a 12.07% increase compared to January 2024, when 1,55,611 units were sold. This is an increase of 18,777 units. Motorcycles make up 44.98% of TVS’s total sales. Compared to December 2024, sales grew by 20.42% from 1,44,811 units.
Scooter sales, especially the Jupiter model, also grew significantly both year-over-year (YoY) and month-over-month (MoM). A total of 1,71,111 scooters were sold, up from 1,32,290 in January 2024 and 1,33,919 in December 2024. Scooters make up 44.14% of the company’s sales, which is almost the same as motorcycles.
TVS’s electric scooter sales grew by 54.80% YoY, reaching 25,195 units in January 2025, compared to 16,276 in January 2024. MoM sales also increased by 24.91%. With the launch of the new TVS iQube ST at the 2025 Auto Expo, e-scooter sales are expected to rise even more.
The company also sells the XL moped, which saw 42,172 units sold in January 2025. This was a small YoY increase of 0.32%, but a significant MoM rise of 26.75%.
Overall, TVS sold a total of 2,93,860 two-wheelers (2Ws) in January 2025, a 9.55% YoY increase from 2,68,233 units in January 2024. This was also a 36.63% increase compared to December 2024.
TVS’s two-wheelers are popular in global markets as well, with exports reaching 93,811 units in January 2025, showing a 52.03% YoY growth. However, MoM exports fell by 3.21%.
Overall, TVS’s total two-wheeler sales reached 3,87,671 units in January 2025, up from 3,29,937 units in January 2024 and 3,12,002 units in December 2024.
TVS Three-Wheeler Sales and Exports in January 2025
TVS’s three-wheeler sales grew by 39.80% YoY in the domestic market, with 2,708 units sold. MoM sales also increased by 22.04%. However, three-wheeler exports declined both YoY and MoM, with 7,244 units exported compared to 7,639 in January 2024 and 7,466 in December 2024.
Total domestic sales for both two-wheelers and three-wheelers increased by 3.93% YoY and 36.48% MoM, reaching 2,96,568 units in January 2025.
Exports for both two- and three-wheelers reached 1,01,005 units, a strong YoY increase, but MoM exports decreased by 3.20% from 1,04,393 units in December 2024.
