2025 KTM 390 Enduro R Debuts in India, Priced at ₹3.37 Lakh

2025 KTM 390 Enduro R Launched in India at ₹3.37 Lakh: Off-Road Ready and Lighter Than the Adventure

After making waves at EICMA 2024 in Milan and later at India Bike Week in Goa, KTM has officially launched the 2025 390 Enduro R in India. Priced at ₹3.37 lakh (ex-showroom), this off-road-centric machine expands the brand’s 390 lineup, joining the 390 Adventure and its more affordable sibling, the Adventure X.

🔥 Engine and Performance

The 390 Enduro R is powered by the same 399cc LC4c single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine found in the 390 Adventure. It puts out 46 PS and 39 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. A slipper and assist clutch comes as standard, ensuring smoother gear shifts—especially useful during aggressive off-road riding.

🛠️ Design and Build

Built on a steel trellis frame, the Enduro R rolls on spoked wheels—a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear—which makes it better suited for tackling rough terrain than the 390 Adventure’s 19/17-inch setup. It uses USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both offering longer suspension travel than your typical ADV.

While the international-spec Enduro R boasts 230 mm of wheel travel and 272 mm of ground clearance, the India-specific version features a slightly toned-down setup with 200 mm travel at the front, 205 mm at the rear, and 253 mm ground clearance. However, this tweak brings down the seat height by 30 mm to 860 mm, making it more accessible for Indian riders.

🧯 Braking and Safety

Braking duties are managed by a 285 mm front disc with an axial caliper and a 240 mm rear disc, both supported by dual-channel ABS. The slightly smaller front disc (compared to the 390 Adventure’s 320 mm unit) is tuned for better modulation and control off-road.

⚙️ Features & Equipment

Despite its leaner, more rugged look, the 390 Enduro R doesn’t skip on essentials:

  • 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Switchable ABS
  • Selectable ride modes

It carries a 9-litre fuel tank like the 390 Adventure but weighs 5–6 kg less thanks to stripped-down bodywork, making it more agile and off-road friendly.

📈 Positioning and Future Plans

In India, the 390 Enduro R is placed between the entry-level 390 Adventure X and the feature-rich 390 Adventure, undercutting the latter by ₹30,000. Internationally, it joins KTM’s dual-sport lineup that includes the 125 Enduro R and the 690 Enduro R.

KTM also plans to bring the global-spec 390 Enduro R with full off-road suspension and higher ground clearance in the coming months, alongside the anticipated launch of the 390 Supermoto R.
